In anticipation of the forthcoming English version of “Coming Out” entitled “Coming Out – Love & Hate Diaries“, UKĆ, the brainchild of Łukasz “Icanraz” Sarnacki, a prominent figure in Polish metal scenes with affiliations to bands like Corruption, Christ Agony, and Devilish Impressions, unveils the gripping single and accompanying music video – “Fading Away“.
In this poignant track, Icanraz draws inspiration from the unsettling events near his residence, specifically the plight of refugees detained on the Polish-Belarusian border. Speaking on the motivation behind the piece, Icanraz shares, “The song narrates the journey of a 6-year-old boy who, having lost his entire family, ventures alone to Europe in search of a better life. It delves into symbolic and societal issues, highlighting our tendency to succumb to apathy when faced with problems that may seem distant.“
Established in 2017 in Białystok, Poland, UKĆ is a true solo endeavor, with Icanraz spearheading vocals, drums, guitars, bass, keyboards, compositions, lyrics, and production. While UKĆ remains a one-man studio project, it transforms into a powerful quartet during electrifying live performances.
Following the EP “Przemijanie,” released on November 30, 2022, and the Polish version of the debut album “Coming Out” on April 17, 2023, UKĆ now presents the English version, “Coming Out – Love & Hate Diaries” digitally and physically available on February 16, 2024, via Theogonia Records.
Through “Fading Away“, UKĆ endeavors to transcend boundaries and connect with diverse audiences, bringing a powerful narrative that challenges societal indifference.
